Back in Hong Kong... again

Hi all,

Yes I'm back in Hong Kong again, this time for work... will probably be staying here for at least a year or more. (I've signed up for a gym membership for 18 months already, so...)

Drop me a message if you're here too!

The land of dripping air-con water (at least in the summer) drives me crazy some times... but at the food is ok (and though more expensive than in Singapore, comes in larger/better portions). Nice places to walk (though summer's not the best time), photos below:

My room at 300+ square feet is pretty small by Singapore standards, but I wouldn't need something too big anyway (hard to clean, which I don't very often anyway...!). More photos of that later.

Singapore control of the mass media

Hey I didn't know the heads of our press had a number of previous members of the intelligence service, nor that our press freedom has been ranked alongside that of Iran...
Really interesting article that could be food for thought for those of us who think our daily newspapers are "neutral".

While you're there, check out other articles by the journalist on Singapore. Suddenly it all seems to make sense... Indonesian sand, Mynamar bank accounts, banking secrecy requirements in Singapore... or does it? You decide.
